Incendiary has been one of my favorite bands for a very long time. After years of missing them whenever they came out to the West Coast, I was stoked to finally get to aggressively finger-point and scream along with Brendan Garrone in between snapping shots of their set. They had just released Change the Way You Think About Pain and were doing a short run of shows in support of the new album. Despite being a band for over fifteen years, Incendiary has not slowed down and their latest album is one of the most technical and unapologetically heavy offerings that I’ve ever heard. The refreshingly rare time signatures, screaming metallic guitar melodies, and blistering hooks feel like they carve out a piece of your brain—and their live show proved no different.
